Both locations are good, but the apt. in the 5th looks much nicer to me--more comfortable, more luxurious. Have a wonderful time.

The Saint Germain apartment is very close to Poilane boulangerie on Rue du Cherche Midi which sells the MOST fabulous apple tarts and chocolate croissant. http://www.poilane.fr/.

Rue du Cherche Midi is where we stayed one time. A great street.
