honeymoon- Lake Como/Corsica or Greek Islands
 

My fiance and I will be taking our honeymoon in July of '04. We are trying to decide between the following two options: 5 days in Lake Como followed by 7 days in Corsica or Sardinia OR the entire time period split between 2 Greek Islands. The most important factors are: smaller crowds, beautiful beaches and accessability. We prefer serenity to nightlife- any suggestions?

Wide choices. Having only been to Lake Como and Santorini and Mykonos in Greece, I would recommend Lake Como as being wonderful, and Santorini as being fabulous, If you like things Italian, I can strongly recommend Taormina in Sicily as a truly romantic place to be. Enjoy

The answer also depends on how comfortable you'll be in extreme heat. Sicily and the Greek Islands can be into the 90s and over in July.

Don't go to Lake Como expecting to lie out on a lot of beautiful beaches...there really aren't that many...beautiful setting and scenery, though and probably cooler than Greece.
All ij all there may be more to see and do in the Greek Islands depending on your interests but I think it would be memorable in any of these places you are considering.
