Honeymoon in Italy- suggestions?

My fiance and I are to be married in the UK in July of 2004, and are interested in honeymooning in Italy, particularly on the Amalfi Coast. Any tips, hotel suggestions, or other cities we should consider? Thank you!

Good morning,
Would choose the HOTEL SYRENE on Capri.
Kinda prefer the views into the bay of Naples and etc., over those out to sea..Also the Pza Umberto is a pretty
lively place after dark and about a full block from the Syrene... Richad of
LaGrange Park, IL.

The four star Hotel Villa Maria in the equisitely beautiful town of Ravello has my vote. Look at their website (www.villamaria.it) and you will see.

We just recently returned from our honeymoon in Italy. We spent the first part of our honeymoon in Positano and absolutely loved it. There isn't too much to do besides walk, eat, drink, and visit the stores...and enjoy the breathtaking views! We absolutely loved Positano, and it was such a romantic, relaxing stop on our honeymoon. I highly recommend Albergo Miramare, particularly room 210. The terrace is huge - table with 2 chairs (enjoy breakfast on your terrace!) and 2 chaise loungers. The staff is wonderful, and the view is breathtaking. See

Congratulations and happy planning!

I have stayed at Le Sirenuse several times and can assure you it is fabulous if you want to pay the price! Is has gotten very expensive.

Thank you everyone!

I'll look into all of these! We don't want to spend more than $250 US a night on a hotel room, so that does narrow the field a bit!
