Hello luv2travel, I would pack clothes that could be layered. November is autumn of course. A few days ago a friend in Veneto (the region where Venice is) told me it was so cold with lots of rain. But that does not mean that will be true in November. So clothes that can be layered would be the way to pack. Congratulations to you on your wedding and wishes for a beautiful honeymoon.

My husband and I both have very light weight silk long sleeved t-shirts that take no room in our suitcases. We pack these for Italy in all but the summer months. We both have a tiny folding umbrella. These often break, but so do regular sized ones. ;-(
He takes regular short sleeved t-shirts, several long sleeved cotton shirts, and one heavier cotton pullover sweater. He has a great black all weather waterproof jacket. He also tucks a scarf into the suitcase just in case. Gloves, too. He always packs warmer socks than I do. I take the long sleeved tees, and a couple of heavier, but not heavy, cotton tops that pullover, zip or button. My I take the same sort of jacket that my husband has. We never pack lightweight pants unless it is summer. Our pants are usually medium to heavy weight cotton. We take mostly neutral and dark colors. I take a scarf, too, but Italy is a great place to buy a scarf as a souvenir. Closed comfortable shoes. I like thinner socks, but then, my feet don't get cold. I put those stretchy knit supermarket gloves (usually black) in the suitcase. I always lose one. Novemeber may or may not be cold and/or wet, but bring light layers and be prepared to enjoy it all, no matter the weather. I highly recommend the long sleeve silk tees. We have them from both LL Bean and from Winter Silks. I also have a nightshirt from Winter Silks. Excellent because it is so light to pack and dries in minutes. Hope this helps. Debbie |
