Honeymoon hotel in Venice for under £200 ($325) a night
My fiance and i are wanting to go to Venice for our honeymoon. We are looking for a hotel for under $325 (228 Euros) a night. We really like chic, clean, modern hotels (i know this isn't very Ventian but nevermind). Does anyone know of any hotels that fit the bill?
Thanks in advance!

You need to say when you are travelling. Rates change a LOT according to the seasons.
In 2004 and 2005 I stayed at Foscari Palace 4*, that had been opened only a year or less, both times with a direct Grand Canal view. Very satisfying experience, rooms, breakfast, rooftop terrace for 360 view of Venice ... Only a 29-room boutique type of hotel. I also liked its East Cannaregio location - 5 minutes walk to Rialto Bridge.
1st time deluxe double with 2 windows for € 160.
1nd time Gonzaga suite with 4 windowns (50m2), 3 of which were facing the Grand Canal with a balcony each (standing only - typical) for €230. Both times, it was in the lowest season (NOV - DEC). It must have costed double or more in high seasons.

There are so many choices of hotels in Venice but this was one of the best I have made so far.

Ok high season. You can try nice 3* hotels such as
http://www.pensioneaccademia.it/
http://www.lacalcina.com/
La Calcina's tariff says Sep is a peak season, even higher than a mere high season, their best rooms between €210 - 310. I think you should take a room with Giudecca Canal frontla view.
Oh, sorry, neither are particularly modern. Only well maintained with air-con (I would prefer having it in SEP). In any case they are very popular. Calcina has a deck restaurant on the water. Also has a rooftop terrace.
