honeymoon help

i am going to france on my honeymoon and i need some help. i arrive on monday am and leave following sunday pm. we would like to stay in paris for half the time and in burgandy the other half. Any suggestions. My initial thoughts for paris hotels are Hotel Costes, Hotel Lancaster, Hotel Crillion. I have no idea about Burgandy. Any chateau recommendations?

thanks in advance

A price range for Burgundy would help. Chateau de Gilly would be at the top of the range (for most people).

Best wishes,

Rex
[email protected]
I don't want to spend more than around 400 - 500 euros/night - i found the Bernard Loiseau - La Cote d'Or - Is the chateau gilly better than that?

thanks for you help

hi rebecca03
Just thought I'd mention that M Bernard Loiseau died earlier this week. I'm sure he wasn't the only person running the inn, but you might want to verify that nothing about the establishment being open has changed.

The Paris hotels you mention all have fine reputations. Not having stayed there, my impression of the Crillon is that it is the most palatial of the three you mention. It was recently renovated too boot. It certainly has a handy, if hectic, location right on Place de la Concorde. The Lancaster is a smaller hotel with an excellent reputation. The Costes is trendier and draws a hip crowd.
