Honeymoon help!

My fiancée and I would love to experience Italy and Switzerland and maybe France for our honeymoon. We are seeking a very scenic, romantic 14 day trip. We are considering lake Como as a starting point, traveling through Switzerland by rail and then maybe onto France, either Nice/ French Riviera or Paris. Can anyone shed some light on where to visit in Switzerland and how many days to spend in each of these areas? Ideally, we' d like to stay in any given spot for at least 3-4 days, no fewer. Really want to relax and soak up beautiful scenery. Oh, we are intending to travel end of June into July. Thanks!

With only 2 weeks I would pick only the 2 countries--Paris demands 5 days and is too far.

Arrive Zurich--train to Berner Oberland---5 days
Train to Luzern---3 days
Train to Lago Como via Lugano---4 days
Last day in Milan
Fly home from MXP

That is a great honeymoon !

I would do it the other way - starting in italy and then heading north.

However - if you have a full 14 days on the ground - not including arrival and departure days you could do Paris 6 nights (5 days) Lucerne or Interlaken 4 nights (2.5 days) and one of the lakes (we like Stresa on Maggiore) for 4 nights (2.5) days - and an early am trip to Milan to head home.

This would get you a taste for 3 places - but will not work if you have included the day you arrive and the day you depart in the 14 days.

Hi EJ,

In two weeks you could enjoy a visit to Italy, or
The Italian Lakes and Swissland, or
Alsace and Swissland, or
Alsace and Germany.

All 3 is too much traveling and not enough honeymooning.

Enjoy your visit.

Really, your question is simply to broad and generic for any worthwile input that would be any different than ideas you could get for yourself with a little research.

Or you might as well go to a travel agent and say, 'book us a 2 week trip with stops of 3-4 day in each place and covering Italy, Switzerland and France. Travel agents choice.

If you want specific suggestions then you have to provide specific criteria that those suggestions would meet. You've provided no specific criteria at all really.

Lol! Tough crowd! Much thanks to those who provided constructive responses! "Bobthenavigator" and " nytraveler" do you have any suggestions for accommodations in the areas you listed! Thanks again!

Pick your Oberland destination first---Wengen, Lauterbrunnen, or Grindelwald. In Luzern,I like Des Balances.

For accommodation you would need to provide specif nightly budget in euros or swissies - and what you expect for it. Are you budget willing to give up certain amenities? Luxury with no limit on price?
