Honeymoon and my 1st trip to Greece
 

Hi all,

I am travelling to Greece for the 1st time from the 26th May - 5th June...

I was thinking of covering santorini, Mykonos and Athens... i am going for my honeymoon.


Can u pls suggest me the islands one must visit ... suggest how to travel between the islands .... should we do our booking in advance or figure there ... what kind of hotels should we consider.

I am just at the same position as you, looking for the best itinerary possible. I am still researching but I have made a post on tripadvisor with some thoughts I have. My boyfriend and I are traveling the exact same dates you are.
We are going to Crete, Santorini and then Athens.
It all depends on what your budget is. We are flying from Detroit to Athens and then taking an Aegean Air flight to Crete, taking the ferry from Crete to Santorini and then flying Aegean Air back to Athens.
I am told and others on this board know more than me that one of the main reasons for visiting Mykonos is for the nightlife which will be quiet during your time there as the season is just getting going so maybe another island might work better.
I think the one island you must visit is Santorini, just to say you have been there.
