Hi Honeymooners - you couldn't have picked a more romantic and beautiful place to honeymoon. We did not stay right in the Amalfi coast but did visit Ravello. Make sure to go into the Rufolo castle and walk up to Villa Cimbrone - the views are spectacular and the restaurants are wonderful. Enjoy!

Great choice - we went there this summer. Stayed a mile out from Positano, but look at hotels in Ravello - there is a fantastic 5 star place there which I can't remember the name of. 10 days is quite enough time in this small area - if you haven't been to Rome, finish off your honeymoon there. Good luck and congratulations!

First, I agree that the Amalfi coast is an ideal honeymoon spot. I would urge you to go ahead and make some inquiries about lodging if you are looking for some of the more special lodging offerings, however. We stayed at the lovely Villa Rosa in Positano (highly recommend) in September, and I happened to ask the proprietor how early I should book to assure a reservation in the future. He said that they often sell out months in advance for certain seasons.
Positano makes a good base for the Amalfi coast, I think, but agree that Ravello is spectacular. If you want immediate access to a beach, however, Ravello has none.

About 2 years ago, we stayed at an old monastery that is now a hotel in Amalfi. The hotel is right off the main highway but you access it by a rickety elevator that takes you up the cliff to the hotel. We had a view of the bay which was spectacular. Amalfi, however, in not as romantic as Ravello.
