honeymoon advice

My wife and I are trying to plan our honeymoon to italy for two weeks from april 19-may 2 (ish). We would love to do tuscany and amalfi coast...and are unsure where to start! Any advice--flights, hotels, travel tips, transportation within italy, restuarants??
Thanks so much!

Hi J,

>...are unsure where to start! <

First look up your destinations under "Destinations".

Second go to the library and get out some travel books.

Third try www.venere.com for hotels and www.tripadvisor.com for reviews.

After you have a draft itinerary and some hotel ideas, come back and we will help you improve your plan.

You can check train schedules in Italy at www.trenitalia.com

We spent a week on the Amalfi Coast in mid- to late- May last year and the weather was lovely, however it was not nearly warm enough to swim and we were told that it had rained a lot the few weeks before we arrived. Of course the weather is different every year, but don't go with your heart set on swimming in late April...

We've been in Sorrento a couple of times in late May and it was plenty warm enough to swim in the hotel pool (the beaches there are very rocky - not really for swimming from). But we're used to the North Atlantic - and some folks from FL thought it was too cold to swim (although the northern europeans were happy).

Even if you can;t swim, there are plenty of things to do in the area - it's still beautiful and worth the time.
