Honeymoon 2015

Hi I am Jane from India My would be husband n I was planning to travel to Europe on our Honeymoon in March as of now it maybe maybe delayed to June(I'm hoping not).
So if we take 14 days into consideration including the flight days and according to Schengen visa we pick like 2 places.. France/Greece our choice..but we would like your input to as in what should we do..France n Greece work? or France n Italy? or just pick one place n take a go at it completely? See Paris has been my dream so that has to be a constant. And yes a little budget control also.
that I think we can manage by taking up stays at rent other than Hotels. I mean see Before we start booking and all..we need to have a great plan for execution. So please please please help me.

Congratulatons on your upcoming wedding!

Two weeks isn't a lot of time for two countries, unless they are really close together. Since Paris is a must for you, I'd pick a week in Paris, and another in Italy( if you must have two countries). Ideally, you could easily spend a week in Paris and another week touring around France. Maybe a week in Paris, and another in the south of France. I have spent late March in the south of France and the weather was actually perfect....not too hot, just right.
There are plenty of vacation rentals out there, so you should be able to find one, given your budget considerations. And don't forget...if you're including travel days into your two weeks, you don't really have 14 days of exploring.

I don't think two weeks is little time for two countries, I do that all the time. With flights, it doesn't take that long to get to other countries. Easyjet flies from Orly in Paris to Athens in only four hours for less than 100 euro. The extra hour or two on that flight doesn't matter in comparison to some other place, and in fact, if you went to Italy by train, it would take much longer.

I just think Greece is a lot of planning which may be more time-consuming than planning the usual trip to some European capital where you just pick a hotel in the center and maybe find out some day trips. For Greece, you'll have to decide if you want the islands, and if so, how will you get there (ferry etc), and other stuff.

So the distance between the two isn't at all in issue IMO, but you just really have to decide where you most want to go and how much time you want to spend on the planning. Also, you might check flights and compare the prices between flying into Paris and then out of some Italian city versus out of Athens back home.

If it were my honeymoon - and it isn't - I'd spend the whole two weeks in France. At least spend one full week in Paris, then perhaps some countryside or wine country. I recently spent 10 full days in Paris and loved - I could have spent two weeks there with a couple of day trips out of town.

If you are going in March, do France/Italy, if it's June, change Italy for GREECE …. Greece is meant to be seen in warmer weather, with loooong days, and swimmable seas; it's all about the blue Aegean (which is too chilly until mid-May).

I agree that March is too early for Greece but if you go in June, then it is great and it is easy to fly between Greece and Paris. Greece is also very much cheaper than Italy.

The weather in the south of France can be horrible in March. If you are going in March, don-t try to pick a beach vacation. Go to another beautiful city instead. Or spend all the time in Paris.
