Interesting story. It looks as though there has been much more excavation done than when I was there in about 1969.

Even though there wasn't much there, it was very impressive to me, with the bits and pieces I had in my mind from having read the Iliad some years previously.

I'm reading the Aeneid, and that certainly makes Troy sound like a very large city. Interesting.
