Homeaway or VRBO London

Anyone used these in London. Looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom flat for 8 days in June 2011. Have used them for Hawaii but not London. Any recommendations?

Both of these companies are similar: It is INDIVIDUAL OWNERS who list their houses or condos with either Homeaway or VRBO. Homeaway and VRBO charge the owner a set price for listing their homes on their website.

To sum up, look at both sites and choose based on the APARTMENT, not on who's website is listing it.

You will find a lot of companies also list their apartments on both sites. www.londonperfect.com for instance lists some of their apartments on both sites.

.Have Used Paris Perfect before and loed the place in paris so will try their Londonperfect. I was hoping to find some people who have used these websites and can recommend places they have stayed in. Sorry if I didn't make myself clearer but I do appreciate your responses.

Homeaway powers VRBO so it's the same thing.

I used homeaway.com successfully for all our apartments in Europe and London. You deal directly with the owner. Yes, we had an apartment in South Kensington close to the Olympia Tube Station and a 15 minute bus ride to the city. It was a great location, 2 bedroom, very good standard of fitout.

SkiChamonix: Welcome to Fodors. I notice you've topped some pretty old threads to recommend homeaway - assuming you did a search for Homeaway to locate them.

Anyway, this thread is a year old and the OP's trip was five months ago.
