Home Plazza Bastille vs. Brighton

Can anybody recommend one of these hotels for a family of five?
I hope you get some good info on Plazza Bastille as our family of 5 is staying there in August; the website and their info package look very good. Do you have any other information about the area?safe? Good luck and regards.

My travel agent stayed at Home Plazza Bastille and recommends it. Her boss says the area was not safe in the past but nowadays it is very safe, with good stores and restaurantes. I think the price is good, but 2 of us will be sleeping on the sofa bed, and I think it is usually not exactly as comfortable as a real bed. (We will spend 4 nights in Paris.) And, as my mother-in-law will be going with us, it would be better to have a separated bedroom, but there's no separation.

Hotel Brighton was recommended by a friend, but they don't have appartaments. We will have to use 1 double and 1 triple and the price is higher.
We want to have a good stay because Paris will be the last city in a 16-day trip and I think that the last impression is very important...

I have read in this forum about these 3 websites which have previous costumers comments:
The only one that has comments about Plazza Bastille is hotelboulevard.com.
(Brighton appears in all of them, but for August it is not a good idea, because they do not have air conditioning. I am going in September.)

About the neighborhood of Plazza Bastille, you can find something in:

Good luck and good trip!
My friend and I stayed at the Home Plazza Bastille last September - what a miserable let-down. We had a professional discount (we paid half the normal price) and I guess I was naive in thinking that "luxury" today means what it did years ago.
The room was small and loaded with furniture. The ventilation system did not work properly, the carpet was wet (someone decided it was a good idea to defrost the refrigerator/freezer before we arrived), and there wasn't a clean towel in the room (they were all on the floor due to the deluge).
The employees of the hotel were nice and professional, but they seemed stressed due to the constant commotion of the lobby. We could not change rooms because there were no free rooms.
The neighborhood is not especially dangerous, but it's not pleasant. The Marais is a 10-minute walk away, and I recommend the area as an escape if you plan on staying at the Home Plazza.
One last thing: we were told that breakfast was included in the price of the room - it was not.
If you do stay at the Home Plazza Bastille, I hope your experience is better than ours was.
