Looking to do a little advertising are we, Clara?

Where do you find the footpath in SML towards Portofino (or in Portofino towards SML)? Is the walk onward to Camogli reasonable or very hilly and long? How do you find the bus taking the "scenic route" (La Ruta?) between Portofino/Camogli? Exactly when does ferry transport resume in the spring?

Hi Clara,
I am in the early stages of planning a trip to the Italian Riviera for fall 2003. We will have about 7-8 days. I know we want to go to the Cinque Terra area, but where else do you recommend? We like beautiful scenery, some shopping, boat excursions and some sun/beach/pool time. Thanks for your help.

Hi Nina,
If you never staid in Sanremo area don't miss.it You can visit an unforgettable medioeval town, delightful gardens with exotic flowers and Mediterranean shrumps, boat excursions recommended are so many (e.g. whale watching), sandy beaches with pool, water parks, colourful open air markets. If you need some brochures about Sanremo and surroundings area do not hesitate to contact me again.
Bye Clara
Dear Jt,
Foothpath from SML to Portofino starts at Badia della Cervara (XIV century) on the right and is over Paraggi street (total 5 kms.)
The walk to Camogli is very hilly and long.
A recommended tour from Portofino is by boat to San Fruttuoso (20 minutes).
Have a nice holiday ! Clara

FYI, Clara lives in San Remo, which is a long way from the CT, and has a house she wants to rent to you. She shows up every few months to advertise.

I dunno, let's not pick on Clara. It seems lots of "helpful" people on these message boards have ulterior motives of selling their goods or services. No names shall be mentioned...
