Holiday Park or Europapark

Have allocated one day for a theme park for my two teenagers on our trip to Germany.

Any suggestions on which park?

Thanks,

Sam (USA)

We have only been to Europapark. My kids loved it. There is plenty for teenagers to do. We went last June and it was fairly crowded (we were there on a weekend day). Some ride lines were long. It is in the "middle of nowhere"- not much nearby.

We went to Europapark for two days in May. It's a great park and the price is right too. The park has themes with different European countries and they have ongoing shows throughout the day. So there really is something for everyone. There are three hotels in the park to stay at. The Colossea (spelling)is the newest and very beautiful.

Europapark is about one hour from Basel, Switzerland and not too far from Colmar. Try not to go on a weekend or you'll end up waiting in long lines. Summer vacation is notorious for long lines too.

Oops, forgot to mention. Summer vacation usually starts second week of July (depending on the country). In Switzerland, it ends two weeks before beg. of Sept.

The Europapark is not too far from Freiburg, which is pretty nice.
