holiday humour

Always when you look back on a holiday there has been something unexpected that made you laugh. In my most recent holiday we came across two signs on one street. One was for "Cheerio medical practice" and the other was for "Stitch Up Tailors". What memories do you have a chuckle at?

My favorite was an incident that happend on Champs de Mars near Ecole Militaire in Paris. A young hotshot on a skate board banged into a middle aged, slightly overweight woman. She directed a stream of withering oral fire at the young man which culminated with her kicking his skateboard down the steps. Fortunately for the skater, the woman's kicking style in no way resembled that of Mia Hamm or Michelle Akers. Otherwise, our hotshot would have been swimming in the Seine looking his board. I did not understand a word the woman said, but the meaning was very clear! I just hope she didn't hurt her foot.<BR>

While in Merida, Mex., we passed as storefront bearing a sign that said, "Broken English Spoken." Definite chuckle material.

throwing caution to the wind we stopped at a food stall in South America and just pointed to one of the things on the menu. We sat down at one of the little tabls and enjoyed speculating as to what it would be. ( we were a lot younger and more foolish then!!!!)It turned out to be egg and fried rice!!!!
