holiday autos don't rent to Americans
 

Be award that Holiday Autos do not rent to Americans, a fact which is not on their web site. I received this in reply to a series of emails "We do not currently offer Malta or Gozo for clients based in the USA." No explanation as to why. I found this very irritating, and would not rent from them in any country even if available.

Why not email them and ask why ?
It cant be because they have head about driving standards in the US :-)

First, please know that I am aware my grammar was incorrect in my original posting; it should have been Holiday Autos does not rent to Americans. And I have written then, also spoke to them on the phone, but got a brush off answer "we aren't set up for it" and "we only rent to Americans in certain locations".

They don´t rent to German either, I wanted to rent a car in the US, but my plane arrived in Canada. No, sorry not possible, you need to rent in Canada. Those are their policies, but I use them nevertheless, because they´re cheap! :-)
