??Hilton Hotel West in Budapest

We have been assigned to the Hilton Hotel West in Budapest by our tour company in place of the Radison SAS Beke.

Is there a big difference? How about locale?

The full name is actually Hilton Budapest WestEnd. It is walking distance from the Radison, and adjacent to a shopping mall at a train station -- which sounds worse than it actually is. The hotel is certainly respectable, and the neighborhood essentially the same as the Radisson's. Do note that there are two Hilton's in Budapest - the other in a wholly different part of the city.

I was just in Budapest and at that Mall (WestEnd City Center) and while I didn't stay at the Hilton it looked very nice. The mall was a great place to be on a rainy day and the fact that it is attached to the Metro means you can get anywhere in the city. Based on what I saw I wouldn't hesitate to stay at that Hilton.

My daughter and I stayed in this hotel 2 years ago. It is a nice hotel with the large mall at the back of the hotel.
The subway is very nearby. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
