Hiking the Amalfi Coast in January

I have an opportunity to join a group to hike the Amalfi Coast in January. Does anyone know what kind of weather I should expect? We will be hiking to the Cloister of Paradise, Ravello, the Greek temples of Paestiam and the Passage of the Gods. Any information on the degree of difficulty of these hikes? Thanks for any information or suggestions you could give me.

You can expect crisp bright days often with lots of sunshine which is perfect for hiking but come late afternoon the temperatures will drop considerably. The walks you list are fairly easy with but they can be strenuous depending on which way you tackle them. Most of the hikes are on well warn paths so you will only require light canvas type boots.

Geraldo - I'm intrigued - how can you make "fairly easy" walks strenuous? - do them carrying a 50lb pack? tying both legs together?
sorry to tease!

Sorry - Gerardo - got your name wrong - I'm still intrigued, though.

annhig - I think its a downhill vs. uphill issue.

What goes down?? Still not getting it!

The walks are technically easy (follow the path) but the fact that many of them are climbing up hundreds if not thousands of steps which for someone not used to it will be extremely strenuous and you will find muscles that you never knew existed.

Thanks, gerardo, alles klar!
