High School Group to Seville

I'm researching for our school's Spanish class (33). They have the wonderful opportunity of visiting Seville the first week of April. Will be flying out of ORD. My question is mainly about air fare and which airline. Anyone have tips about when to book to get the best fare?

Book on a consolidator (e.g. Travelocity, Kayak). They show you the best fares on the dates you want to travel. They wil do the airline comparisons for fares and routes from ORD to Seville.

You mean a group of 33 travelling? That isn't something you book on Kayak or Travelocity, it's a booking done through an agent or other specialist. Won't your local education authority have procedures to do this??

For 33 travelling you'll need to book ASAP!

As noted, it's not something you can do on your own unless you don't mind flying on different flights at different times with possibly different connections. The airlines will not set aside 33 seats for a group unless you are making your reservations through an agent who normally handles group bookings.

You'll be in Sevilla between Easter Sunday (31 March) and the start of the Feria de Abril (16 April), so hotel prices should be reasonable.

Agree that with so many people you really can't book the air yourself. (Whose credit card would you put it on?)

You need to work with someone who books group trips and let them deal with the finances - which they are used to.

If you tried to do yourself you might well have trouble getting all on the same flight, could get seats at a lot of different prices and need to coordinate all of the details yourself. And you certainly don't want to be the one chasing after 33 families to repay you for money you lay out. And people aren;t going to want to give you all of their CC info - at lest immediately.

Thanks everyone. I have contacted a travel agent and a group sales desk at a carrier.
