One of my favorite places in England. Was last there a couple of months ago and it was really lovely, though none of the roses were out yet.

One of my favorite shots from this trip (I have some much better ones from a couple of previous visits - better light, more bloom, etc. but those aren't on-line yet) http://www.flickr.com/photos/j_j1946...7621908879986/

Just read the WSJ piece on Hidcote and have to say that Hidcote was high one my list of "must see" spots when we visited England for the first time several years ago. Many wonderful images and memories were revived whilst reading this article. Thanks!

Hidcote is one of my favorites--thank you both for the article and photos. A highlight was visiting it about 15 years ago with a friend who owns a nursery specializing in roses. I learned so much from him and will forward the article to him. BTW, Janis, great photos overall and agree about those of Minster Lovell--terrific. Thanks.
