The woman had a huge house in Glasgow and I felt she was unrealistic with wanting a traditional truli home but big enough for all her furniture. Has she not heard of downsizing. I knew she'd take the more modern of the three-I liked the second home myself. What I want to know is how can an EMT in Scotland make enough money to live in Italy. How will she support herself and the upkeep of the pool and home.

I know it's all fake but still...

I don't think Househunters is fake. Friends just came back from house hunting in Calabria and had the crew follow them. They did not find what they wanted.

Any clues what you are talking about? What is an EMT and a HGTV?

I believe it's fake. I've heard accounts of the producers enlisting people who already found homes, and then they go shoot fake house hunting scenes after the fact. But it's still entertaining, and somewhat educational for those of us interested in purchasing property overseas.

Sorry, bilboburgler, I was in such a rush to let everyone know about the show that I wasn't sensitive to all.

An EMT is an Emergency Medical Technician (or something like that)-he/she is trained in life-saving procedures for ambulances.

HGTV stands for Home (House?) and Garden TV. This show is "House Hunting International"-they follow a house hunter and end up with 3 final choices. Since there are many Italy lovers in the U.S. and on this thread, I thought folks would be interested in this one.
