Het Koninklijk Paleis

Is it still closed for renovations?

According to its website, it'll reopen in early 2009.

IMO One of europe's least interesting palaces anyway

Have to agree with Pal. You aren't missing anything. If you want a place try Het Loo in Apeldoorn or Soestdijk, near Baarn.
For Soestdijk unless you just want the gardens you need to buy a ticket online.(www.paleissoestdijk.nl)
Maybe you could combine Soestdijk with a bike ride through the woods and polders around Baarn ;)
Het Loo is probably a better palace to visit in all honesty, even though Soestdijk is my neighbour. Soestdijk is probably more of interest to the Dutch than any one, having been the home to Juliana and Bernhard until their deaths.

Het Loo i've been too and it's the nicest Loo i've been in

Really a proper European pleasure palace with gardens, etc.

And Apeldoorn is a sweet enough regional town - a real Dutch town, unlike tourists Amsterdamned

About an hour or so to Apeldoorn by train each way then bus to palace - not sure it was a while ago i went
