Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museum in Braunschweig

I read that this museum is closed for renovation. I tried checking their web site, http://www.braunschweig.de/english/c...ch_museum.html
but it is in German and my German is too little to find the information.

Does anyone know if it will be open in early March? It has some paintings we really want to see.

The museum is closed for several years, they do not even say for how long. It will definitely not be open this March.

There is, however, an exhibition that presents the 200 most important masterpieces from the museum in Dankwarderode castle in Burgplatz, i.e. in the very heart of the city. Opening hours are Tuesday and Thursday to Sunday 10 - 17,
Wednesday 13 - 20. So you will be able to see the highlights, with a bit of luck the paintings you want to see are there.

Thanks. That should make a nice daytrip from Berlin. We want to see the Vermeers, but the article I found showed that the museum has a very good collection besides them.
