Helsinki: Luggage Storage for the Day Help

We will be taking the Silja Line Cruise from Stockholm to Helsinki this July, arriving in the morning, spending the day, then flying to Oslo that same night.Any tips for places to store our luggage while we're exploring? Plan on taking either the Finn Air or city bus to the airport from downtown, unless there is a train that goes directly there. Thank you for any suggestions (and if you have a highlight we shouldn't miss while in Helsinki, please add that!).
Happy Travels!

If you type Helsinki to "search this site" you will find your question from yesterday. Plus the answers.

The Finnair bus is propably more convinient and faster than a city bus. It does not stop in every street corner.

I recommend Suomenlinna island fortress (UNESCO World Heritage site), Seurasaari outdoor museum (old houses from all over Finland), and if you like museums, National museum is good.

Elina,

What is the church carved out from stone underground in Helsinki. I thought it was so beautiful and I think they also have music/choral concerts here.

Suomenlina was nice on a sunny day and I seem to recall being at the Seurasaari outdoor museum where the squirrels were so tame the came up and took nuts from our hands.

Siobhan, the church is called Temppeliaukio church (Temppeliaukion kirkko). Here are some links, which also have links to the events (meaning the concerts) held in the church. http://www.map-point.net/temppeliaukio.htm

I forgot to answer the original question..
There are lockers at the railway station. Both buses (Finnair bus & bus nr 615) to the airport leave nearby, so this is a good choice.

That is Temppeliaukio church. Siobhan, if you want to refresh your memories, here: http://www.muuka.com/finnishpumpkin/..._chteh_fi.html

I know it is a popular tourist sight, I just never remember it, because it is so everyday for me. But you are right, it has a special feel to it. I sometimes go there for concerts, escpecially Christmas concerts.
