Help with Train options!

I will fly into Frankfurt airport June 19th, I will then take a train to Dresden and be there for a week for a conference. Then on June 25th I will take a train to Munich until June 30th when I fly out of Munich.

My question is this: The railsaver website gives me two options.
1. Buy a 2nd class ticket from Frankfurt to Dresden and a 2nd class ticket from Dresden to Munich. This is the cheapest option.
OR
2. Buy a 4 day flexipass from Frankfurt to Dresden and a 4 day flexipass from Dresden to Munich. This is much more expensive.

I don't need to travel outside of Dresden when I am there so the 2nd clas ticket may be the best option. But I will want to travel all over and outside of Munich when I am there so is the flexipass a better deal for that leg of the trip??

Any help would be much appreciated!!

You won't need a pass when you're in Munich. You can travel all day after 09:00 on weekdays and anytime on weekends for E20 on a Lander ticket(less if you book online or buy a ticket from a ticket machine). Go here for more information: http://tinyurl.com/ecoyj.

Hi S,

www.railsaver.com always gives ou the choice of a railpass unless you click "only if it saves money".

You can buy your tickets at www.bahn.de or when you arrive in Frankfurt.

I think that it is a mistake somewhere - why you need 2 flexi passes? I suppose that it is the same flexi pass, so you will use it for two days :
- Frankfurt - Dresden
- Dresedn - Munich
and still you can use it for two more days, maybe you will want to travel in weekend.
