Help with suggestions for Tuscany

My husband and 2 sons (13 & 16) are staying in Sansepolcro in June. This is just north of Arrezzo in Tuscany. Any recommendations of what to visit or where to eat during our 5 days there? We will have a car. We're thinking a day or 2 in Florence, maybe Siena, Greve... We'll also be in Venice and Rome later on. Thanks for any help!

I would train or bus into Florence.
How did you pick that location? It is fine for east Tuscany and parts of Umbria, but a long drive to some parts of south and west Tuscany. I would include Cortona and Assisi from there.

In Arezzo you should see the amazing Piero della Francesca frescoes depicting the Legend of the True Cross in the church. I think you need reserved tickets (Tel: 0575-900404).

Had a very hard time finding the right villa in Tuscany, months ago. Chose this one for other reasons. Hope it's not too far out. Hope to drive or train where we need to go.

According to viamichelin, Siena will be 1:32 each way and Greve 1:36. I have always added about 10% to their times. Actually, the best of Umbria is closer than most of Tuscany. Have fun and buon viaggio !
