Help with Split-Hvar and Intinerary

Hi all. My husband and I are planning a trip to Croatia in June for our 30th anniversary. Here's our itinerary so far:
Day 1- Arrive Zagreb
2- Drive to Plitvice Lake
3- Day at Lake/Drive to Trogir
4- Split and Trogir
5- Car ferry to Hvar (Stari Grad)
6- Hvar
7- Hvar
8- Car Ferry to Split/ Drive to Dubrovnik
9- Dubrovnik
10- Dubrovnik
11- Dubrovnik
12- Dubrovnik
12- Fly home

My question is Day 8. Do you think we can do the car ferry (2 hours ) and the drive (3.5-4 hours) in one day? (I hear the drive is beautiful.) I'm having trouble finding the correct ferry timetables for June. If it's too much, where would you spend the night? In Split? Trogir again?Or is there another town nearby?
Thanks so much!

The summer ferry schedules are on Jadrolinija's website. From Stari Grad (Hvar) to Split there are departures in the morning in June at 0530, 0745 and 1130:

Thanks! Do you think we should spend the night in Split before we drive to Dubrovnik? Or is the ferry/drive combo doable in one day?

I would stay the one night in Split before driving to Dubrovnik. You can stay at a small hotel built right into the walls of Diocletian's palace.

If the ferry schedule allows it, you could go from Hvar to Korcula and spend a night or two there before heading to Dubrovnik. Without day trips, five nights in Dubrovnik is too much in my opinion. Though I assume that is why you are have the car, for day trips (otherwise you don't need it).
Alternatively, you could drive across Hvar and take a ferry to the mainland at Sucuraj to Drvenik. Some say the drive across Hvar is hairy; some say not a biggie. If you still wanted to make a stop en route to Dubrovnik, then you could stop anywhere that floats your boat. Ston, a little way onto the Peljesac peninsula, might be a good option.

On the Korcula suggestion, you'd need only check the coastal ferry for Stari Grad-Korcula, as there is a frequent car ferry from Korucla to the mainland.
