Hi, momincy -
Depending on what you want to see and do, you might consider adding a day to Sevilla and a day to Madrid. You also might consider visiting Cordoba and Toledo. Hope you enjoy Spain as much as I did! |
Any special reason for going to Evora in Portugal ? If you want to spend a night between Salamanca and Sevilla...why don't you go to anywhere in Extremadura (Caceres, Merida, Zafra) which are more in the middle of the road ? Evora makes the trip longer, I think. And while it is beautiful, I would better do it on a Portugal trip. And I agree with Kja, Cordoba and Toledo would be great additions..also Segovia.

I am not sure where you plan to be between 25 and 29 December......
I would suggest you spend longer in Seville and that you are in one of the major Andalcian cities (Seville, Grenada, Cordoba) over the Xmas period, with possibly day trips. Driving between Seville and Grandada or Cordoba is fine - in them is not and parking can be a nightmare, as in most European cities. Agree with others re going to Portugal for just a day but maybe you have a special reason for wanting to. Agree Cordoba could be a worthwhile addition, and the places others have mentioned. I will add Ronda and one or two Andalucian villages - Estepa for example. |
Same questions as others (Evora? where to 25-29? more days in Sevilla. etc etc). Consider adding Toledo on the way back to Madrid. Have you checked out Maribel guides (google it)? Also see http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34954915 for additional information.

Agree to spend more time in SEveilla.
Why ignore Cordoba? Why go to Evora? If you're just looking for a place to stop in between, Merida has fantastic Roman ruins to explore. |
I would certainly not miss Segovia or Cordoba since you're going to be so close to both, and agree with others regarding Evora. Also, this would be a bit too long in Alicante for me.
