Help with Spain and Morocco
 

I have 7 days and nights athe first week in April to spend with my daughter who is studying abroad in Spain. I am flying into Seville and would like help with an intinerary for the week. We would like to stay in Seville a few nights and maybe take a day trip and also go to Morocco for a few nights. I don't want to rent a car. I have a hotel booked in Seville, but would like help with how to book something for Morocco or if someone suggests other places to visit in the area, I'd appreciate it. I Thanks

I think that splitting 7 days and nights between Seville and Morocco is a bad idea because it is a lot of traveling. That said, doing two cities is reasonable for a week, so as long as you can fly down to Morocco (land and sea transport will be too slow), I suggest going to Marrakech for a few days, possibly a foray into the desert, then back.

I have already booked my flight in and out of Seville because that is where my daughter is living right now. Are there any 3 day trips that we can go to from there even to another country in Europe if possible?

We took a long day trip from Rota (near Cadiz) to Tangiers, so Morocco is possible as a three day trip. Better yet, how about Portugal? It is just next door and the Algarve is special.

How safe is it for two women alone in Morocco? How would we get there from Seville? Would you recommend a day trip or stay for a few nights? We are not interested in a camel trek. We are looking for a place to go for 3 days leaving from Seville.

I think marrocco involves a lot of traveling for three days,
if you go by land and ferry it will take you one full day in and one full day out so you will only be able to visit the border cities, which are not attractive. Another possibility is train to madrid and then fly to marrakech, but again for three days...
I suggest you look into Lisbon, in Portugal. It is a beatiful place different country and close enough for a three day trip.

What about London or Amsterdam if you want something completely different?

There are lots of cheap flights to UK from Spain as some people even commute.

I would stay in Spain for that short of a time, like maybe Barcelona or Granada for a 3 day adventure or even a lovely white village near a beach.

You could take the ferry over to Morocco and stay at one of the beach towns not far from Tangiers as someone suggested to me.

Morocco is spread out, so if you just have 3 days you would want to do as little traveling as possible. Just getting there and back will take up most of your time.

So if you want to really enjoy most of the 3 days and have something very diffferent, I would look into what looks interesting that you can fly to or train to quickly and good transportation once there.

for 3 days going in and out of Sevilla, I would go to Barcelona. Think of it this way: you have 3 days, inclusive of travel, so anywhere that is more than a 2 hour flight away is rather absurd. 2 hours, though, is far in Europe, and it will get you to Barcelona and Lisbon. Not many cities fly out of Sevilla.

Going to Morocco is perfectly safe, but in the amount of time you have allotted, I would avoid it.

If you plan to visit Moroco from Spain, you should go to the north of Moroco (Tanger,etc.). If you have time, I recommand you to go to the imperial city (Fès, Mecknès, Rabbat,...) and fantastic !

How much money do you have? London is expensive because the dollar is weak, Lisbon will be much less.

Lisbon is part of Iberia so not a totally different world than Spain, London is VERY different and will most likely be raining. ( You will most likely have sun in Spain and Lisbon).

Depends on the what you are looking for.

I love London, but my best trip to London was went we went to the very close by "heart of England" Cottswalds. I wish someone had told me it was so close the many, many visits to London that I missed it.Charm,charm,charm if you are in the mood for that.

Of course, If you are into theatre, there is nothing like London.It is also always easiest to be in a foreign city when you speak the language,so that might be something to consider with only 3 days.

My idea about Lisbon is more related to the chance of visiting a diferent european capital.
London is a good choice, but an easier destination.
