Help with pubs and cafes

My husband and leaving in a week for London, Paris, and Amsterdam. We would enjoy eating in long established pubs and cafes. Local people, friendly service, simple atmosphere, out of the main tourist drag. Any suggestions please?

We were in London a few weeks ago, one of the pubs that we especiall like was The King's Head and Eight Bells. It's ne the Albert bridge. Though it is well know and is part of the London Walks "Pub Walk" it is very much a local pub. Also, the people who run it are very nice. The food is good and the prices very reasonable.

You'll have no problem finding a pub in London.

Enjoy your trip.
