Help with Public Transport Late Night in Luxembourg
 

Hi Guys,

I'm hoping someone can help. I'm headed to Luxembourg next week and have booked a stay at the Doubletree Hilton. I'm wanting to take a bus from Brussels to Luxembourg that would arrive at 1 AM in the morning (late on a Friday night). I didn't realize the public transport doesn't run that late, so when I checked how much a taxi would be to the hotel, I was quoted 30 Euros for 3.5 miles, which is way out of my price range.

I read something about a night bus on the weekends in Luxembourg, so since I'm arriving on a Friday night, I thought this may be an option. I was given a suggestion by the hotel but I was quite confused. They suggested I take the CN1 bus and then change (I'm not sure where I'm supposed to change buses at) to the CN4, get off at the Lavals Park station, and then walk the rest of the way to the hotel, about a mile and a half. How much do these buses cost?

I was trying to decipher those bus schedules corresponding to my bus arrival at 1 AM in the morning, but it seems like there's a gap after 1:30 AM, and I'm not sure if there's no bus, the hotel was saying it's every 30 minutes? Also, the mile and a half from Lavals Park to the hotel, is that safe to walk in the middle of the night?

I could take an earlier bus from Brussels, but I only have one full day there before and I wanted to take the latest bus to make the most of my time everywhere.

Any help with the buses or any other ideas of how I could affordably get to the hotel at that time of night I would greatly appreciate. Thank you all.
