Help with Northern France

I'm driving from Amsterdam to Paris and have 2 days to spend. Would like suggestions on a town in northern France to stop in.

I guess I would recommend Antwerpen, Belgium.

And again Lille, a city often overlooked.

Hi T,

If you haven't included it already, a visit to Bruges/Brugge will add less than an hour to your drive time.

Hi Tom,

Are you interested in WW1 sites, in particular 'The Somme'?

Albert is a small village in the middle of Picardy where, (legand has it). the Madonna was tied to the church because if it fell the war would be over.

There are lots of wonderful sites around this area.

However Lille is also a excellent stopping off point.

Have a good trip

Lille is certainly an interesting city, but for something smaller yet very attractive, you might consider Arras.
