Did you say whether you are traveling by car or train. If by car the alpine area from Fussen to Salzburg is beautiful and full of quaint villages. Highlights include Oberammergau, Linderhof, Garmish, Mittenwald, Bertschesgaden, Eagles Nest, Koenigsee, Chiemsee, and Salzburg. The whole distance is just a little more than 100 miles but there is a lot to do and see.

No I won't be travelling by car at all. Bus train or plane.
