Help with Milan lodging

I need a decent place to stay one night in Milan on Oct. 7. Anything under $100 preferably. Many hotels I've tried are booked. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You're going to have a very tough time, as I believe that is Fashion Week in Milan! Is is convenient to stay in a nearby city, say, Bergamo or Como?

I suspect your real problem will be that rates are jacked up. Try http://www.italyflash.com and go to their hotels section. Click on Milan. At the beginning of the listings will be those with special internet rates through Italy in a Flash (TravelNow). I used this service for a hotel in Milan this summer because so many hotels I was interested in were closed for August. Through them I got a nice, clean airconditioned hotel room (Hotel Lloyd; double was 190,000L) a 5 minute walk from the Duomo. No hassles.

Try Hotel Windsor. Near the train station. It should be in your price range and the rooms are comfortable. Plus the buffet breakfast isn't half bad at that!
