Help with itinerary
Hello,
Husband and I will travel there in early September. Places we'd like to go - Appenzell, Zermatt, 3 days in Wengen, and if possible, Lake Como area. I'm thinking 9-10 days. We're avid hikers. I think we could fly into Zurich and spend our first night in Lucerne (although we'd be arriving very late from ORD) and then head in Wengen. But, we can also fly into Geneva for a little less and maybe that area would make more sense? We could spend the night in Montreaux and then head to Wengen. I just don't know how to arrange this so we can get everything in without super long train rides. I considered renting a car in Geneva but then hubby would miss most of the sights concentrating on driving. We can also book a multi city flight and fly home via Milan. Any thoughts on how to arrange this so we can get everything in? Should I purchase a rail pass? We've NEVER used a train system before but I know this is the best way in Switzerland. Thank you!!! |
