help with itenerary
My husband and I will be in London for 3-4 nights and Paris for a week at the end of October. We would like to spend another 2-3 nights somewhere in France,to experience the country &/or seashore (maybe too cold) somewhere inbetween London and Paris or close enough. We will not rent a car so we're looking for somewhere that is easy to get around on foot or public transportation (preferably on foot). Thanks for your help. ncm

HI N,
Does it have to be "somewhere inbetween London and Paris"? ((I)) |
one possible: take train London-Portsmouth then the ferry to Normandy - to either Caen (Oustreham) or Cherbourg - train to nearby Bayeux, do the mini-bus D-Day tours to the beaches and train to Paris.
From Bayeux you could hop by train to Mont Saint-Michel, stay there and then take the bus from the Mont to Rennes and blast into Paris on TGVs. |
itlnerary?
|
to IRA, no, it can be anywhere. thanks for asking

Maybe Strausberg? I've totally butchered the name I'm sure, but I had a nice overnight there. It's not between London and Paris but would be close to Paris because of the new TGV route and has some nice museums if you want to be inside. Very walkable city too.
