help with Hotels

I am traveling Dec 2006 - early Jan 2007 with my parents, me, my husband and my children (6 of us total). We will be staying in London the entire time. Does anyone have a recommendation for a nice child friendly hotel in London.

Also, and recommendations for fun things to do with the kids (ages 12, 9) would be appreciated.

thanks!

I'm assuming you're looking for 2 rooms for the 6 of you. What is your budget?

Please repost with the city's name in your heading. Also you need to include your nightly hotel budget as 'nice' can mean anything to everyone.

sorry - first time I have posted to one of these sites!

Our budget is around 400 pounds total per night for the need of either 3 rooms, or two rooms (one being family style, able to accomodate 4 people)

Dolphin Square and Scala House have both been recommended before in similar circumstances.

For the kids: theatre for sure. Some might frown at the thought, but they would undoubtedly like Madame Tussaud and the London Dungeon.
