Help with hotel in Milan
We will be staying soon in Milan and we come up with this hotel, which is part of the SLH chain. We have previously stayed at the Principe Di Savoia, but we want to change this time. We were wondering if the high prices-on par with the Principe- this hotel charges are worth it, or we'd better stay in another SLH hotel, like the Townhouse 31 which is reasonably priced for Milan.

Mel1, you should make reservations to see the Last Supper, or you will wait (perhaps in vain) in a long, slow-moving line of people who get in only if there are no-shows or over-booked group tours. Just email your hotel and ask them to make a reservation for you. Give them all the day and time options you can.

Or you can just do it online yourself at http://www.cenacolovinciano.org/english/index.html
It's usually booked up 3 months in advance.

I stayed there before, and to tell you the truth i don't think it is the best hotel in Milan, as all say. It's a really nice hotel indeed, but it's in a charmless location, plus it's service although efficient is not personal at all. At the Principe we get a classic room for 3 persons, while at the Petit Palais a 2 bedroom suite. I have some hesitations though!

Problem solved by the Petit Palais directly. They just sent us, after our reconfirmation e-mail, after having reserved the hotel more than a month before our arrival, that they would give us just a 1 bedroom suite, as opposed to all the web and their first description! What a nice hotel....
Now will the Principe have availabilities?
