On a scale of 10, Montalcino is a 9 amd Buoncovento is a 3--no comparison. And, they are :15 apart--no brainer.

Thanks Bob. You have led us to some great places in the past so will follow your lead. As I said, we are driving from Orvieto, but that won't be a long drive. Hopefully we can drop our bags off at Palazzo Conti if we are too early to check in and begin our touring. Again, thanks for all of your help.
