3 nights in Carcassone and 3 days in Paris?

We found Carcassone to be a nice overnight.

What draws you to it that you wouldn't rather spend the time in Paris?

If you decide to stick with your plan and go to Carcassonne keep the car you have rented. It's only about
a 2 1/2 hour drive by autoroute and you avoid shlepping on and off a train.

The main point is that you'll have wheels to drive to Foix, Mont Segur,
Mirepoix and other places you'd not otherwise get to.

Much as I like the place, 3 days in Carcassonne with no wheels would be a bit much.
