help with Florence hotel

I'm looking for a nice, charming hotel in Florence in a quiet neighborhood, for around 200euro/night. Considering Morandi alla Croscetta, Casci and Il Guelfo Bianco. I'm concerned that Casci and Guelfo Bianco will not be quiet. Does anyone have any idea about any of this. I would really appreciate your views.
Thanks in advance,
Annie

We stayed at the J & J Hotel in 2001 and I think it would fit the criteria you are looking for. It was located on a very quiet side street but centrally located to all the sights.

we stay at hotel marios (www.hotelmarios.com) on via faenza..about 165-175€ a nite.
very quiet, helpful staff and mario is around during the day to assist you with tours, museums etc.

I have stayed at Il Guelfo Bianco on several occasions. I don't remember any noise. I think the streetside rooms, which are very charming, have double-paned glass. Carlo Cenni is the best hotelier I have dealt with in over 60 trips abroad. He will take good care of you and make wonderful restaurant suggestions. Boots

what about hotel Casci, do you think there would be too much noise, there?
Thanks,
Annie

I stayed at the Plaza Lucchesi last month, with a room overlooking the Arno, and it was wonderful. There was not much street noise to speak, and the location is lovely. I do believe the walls are very thin, however, but I did not seem to have noisy neighbors.

Hi the Morandi is very quite as is Loggiato dei Servetti( spl.?)don't have a web address, but you can view photo.'s on www.florenceby.com on the home page the fax # is on Fodors and Frommers.
florenceby.com cancellation fees are steep, so try to book directly through the hotel.
Another hotel you should look into is www.hoteltorreguelfa.com near the Ponte Vecchio quite location and great roof top patio.
Best of luck
Fluffy
