Help with first time Italy Itinerary

Jump to last reply

First, let me say THANK YOU for this board. You guys give amazing, wonderful, detailed advice and I have learned so much from you.

Here is where I need some help - after visiting Munich/Fussen area, we still have 7 full days (before flying out on day 8 from Milan) to fill with some of Italy. We will not be renting a car; just using the trains and bus systems.

Here is what our family of two adults and one 18 year old enjoy: eating local foods/wine; seeing the 'must-see' beauty of Italy that will 'wow' us; and historical sites. Art museums are not our thing.

Our initial thoughts were some of Venice and maybe one of the lakes. Or we could go to Rome instead.

I would love your input!
