Help with ferry from Santorini to Naxos and then Naxos to Athens

I guess I'm all travel planned out. I've planned and booked three weeks in Italy and am now trying to put together the 4th week, which will be spent in Greece.

Could some ferry savy person help me with the schedules for :

Santorini to Naxos Time it takes and cost

Naxos to Athens Time it takes and cost.

I went to the Blue Ferry travel site and 2007 is posted but my pea brain cannot quite decipher it.

Thanks

The Blue Star takes 2 hrs from Santorini to Naxos, and about 5 hrs from Naxos to Piraeus. Not sure about cost, but it's cheaper than the highspeeds.

Thanks Heimdall,

I was able to find out the time and cost (E15.50 Santorini to Naxos and E29 slow fery from Naxos to Athens) from accessing a website posted here on Fodors. I'm now trying to find the superfast ferry from naxos to Athens/Pireas.

The highspeed ferry is one of the Hellenic Seaways ships. They haven't published their 2007 schedule yet, but it will probably be similar to the Highspeed 2 timetable in http://tinyurl.com/hs9hw (cancel the user name and password popup if it appears). It shows departure from Naxos at 1115, and arrival in Piraeus at 1515.

If you want to purchase tickets for ferries, best to wait till you get to Greece. But if you are the kind of person who has to have the tickets before entering Greece, you'll have to pay a high fee for getting them to deliver the tickets to your non-Europe address.

Book your tickets in Athens a few days before at a travel agent or even your hotel. They'll be happy to do that.

I know this is an old thread (listed as a Related Topic) but is this still advice to be followed?
