Help with DB website - international ticket
 

I'm looking into train tickets from Brenner, Italy to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany and I'm confused about the different colors for different trains and their meanings.

In the link below there is only one train journey that is all green. The others show Railjet trains (Austrian I think) in a blue color. Does this mean that the ticket I purchase has to be all green (meaning DB trains I think) or can I also board a train that is marked dark blue?

The all green trains cost more than the dark blue, which makes me think the dark blue is not included, especially as they are RJ trains.

Also, if I purchase a Normalpreis Europa ticket, can I get off the train at Innsbruck for a few hours, and then board another train to Garmisch-Partenkirchen?

The colours differ for the different type of trains: green are the local trains (suburban trains, S-), grey are the regional trains (like RE, RB) and blue/black are long-distance trains (like EC, ICE, RJ).

The ticket price is for the entire journey as I could see - otherwise they state that it is only valid for a part of it.

If you get a Normalpreis Ticket (standard fare) you can get off for a couple of hours and then continue. However, don't bother with bahn.de in this case - oebb.at is cheaper. You get the standard fare of 25.50 Euro and can use all types of trains any time.

Thanks Ingo! I'd noticed that the OBB site was a bit cheaper. Just seemed odd that the regional train was more expensive than the faster trains.

You can get saver fares for fast trains but not for regional trains on DB.
