Help with choice of stops on "Western Europe by Train" trip

Right now it's just whatever cities along the southern coast I can string along between Florence and Barcelona.>

If looking for a smaller gem to stop en route between these two look at Collioure - a cute seaside village in an impossible idyllic setting just a tad north of the Spanish border. One of a string of cute smaller seaside villages. smack on the main train line too.

Aaargh, I just read my directions to the bus station from Florence's main train station. And they're wrong! The bus station is to the right as you exit from the train station, not the left.

Sorry, I'm not very good at right and left. Much better at north, south, east and west.
