Help with Boutique Hotels in Vienna

We will be in Vienna for a few days in April. We prefer to stay away from large/chain hotels and would like to find a great boutique hotel in central Vienna. We would like an area near cafes, shops and good access to the metro. Our budget is very flexible. Thanks in advance

We stayed in the Hotel Aldstadt two years ago and loved it. Great atmosphere and service. Wonderful breakfast. And easy to get around from there. The district nearby for dining known as Spittelberg was a delight with little cobblestone streets, cute little restaurants. And one of the main shopping streets was also nearby, Burgasse.

The Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth is very nice. Right by the Stephansdom, on a small side street. Very nice, authentic Austrian, wonderful breakfast room. We had their family room, and it had plenty of room for 4.

I always stay where Rick Steves used to stay--K&T Boardinghouse--for 79 Euros.
They're on Mariahilfer Strasse a 3 minute metro ride from the Ring. And restaurants and grocery stores are up and down the street.
Tina and Kaled also has a new location that I'll be staying in the first of April for 4 nights.

We stayed at the Hollmann Beletage last June for four nights, and can highly recommend it. The breakfast is probably the largest you will find at a boutique hotel in Vienna, and absolutely delicious. The hotel is very near public transportation, as molker mentions, inside the Ringstrasse, so no car is necessary.
