Help with Barcelona

We will be in Spain for only 9 days WE will spend 3 in Madrid and fly to Barcelona Any recommendations on trying to visit Seville if only for 1-2 days. We would fly there from Barcelona and take train back to Madrid. Other option is to spend more time in Barcelona and visit coast How hard is it to get transportation or tours would love to visit Cadaques seems hard to reach without car. Any advice is appreciated. Leave soon with 15 year ols son THANKS

I for one think seville would be worth the hassle very much. It's a nice city with excellant tapas.

I think it is too much travel time to include Seville, unless you can spend more time there. Cadaques is indeed hard to reach without a car. But what about Girona or even Tarragona?

I also agree tarragona would be a great day trip. If your into roman ruins it's amazing, one of the best. Nice views of the see as well. As for time to seville we were fairly young and took the night train so it wasn't too bad. Tired yes but we were for a month and enjoyed every minute.

I stayed a little south of Tarragona last May in Salou. We took the train from Barcelona to Salou. I think it cost about 11E one way. The beach is very wide and long in Salou. We caught the bus to Tarragona one day and toured the ruins and old town. We also walked from Salou to Cambrils. We didn't see any American's while there as Salou was all British tourists and Cambril was mostly French.

I think you should be able to visit Seville. It's a beautiful city. Time your flight out of Barcelona so that you leave in the early evening and arrive in Seville in time for dinner. That would give you some time still in the morning in Barcelona.
