35 EUR for 2nd class>
indeed even cheaper than a passholder fare! And you have to use one day on your pass
I had a Eurailpass this Jan and wanted to go to Amsterdam and checked on fees - was something like 35 euros in 2nd class and on most Thalys trains there were no seats for the next few days!
Luckily Thalys is about the only train in Europe that charges such predatory fees for railpass holders - when you can buy - far in advance to be sure and non-refundable, etc - a Smoove (used to be 'Smilys') fare cheaper than a railpass holder fare!
